To process a company change, you need:

  • Updated company information
  • Authorized signatories
  • A valid ID for digital identification
  • Access to a qualified electronic signature (QES)

Hoop guides you through all the required steps and documents.

Qualified electronic signature (QES) is an electronic signature that meets statutory form requirements in both Swiss and EU regulations. The signer’s identity is verified through digital identification, and this electronic signature is the legal equivalent to a handwritten signature according to Swiss and EU law.

Yes. All company changes processed through Hoop are fully compliant with Swiss law.

Documents and signatures are legally recognized and accepted by all Swiss commercial registers.

No, the members of a company do not have to appear in person. Company members can verify their identities digitally with our integrated digital identification service DeepID. They can also sign all documents digitally with a qualified electronic signature from our integrated digital signature service DeepSign. Thanks to these fully digital processes, there is no need to appear before a notary public in person.

After submission:

  • The commercial register reviews your documents
  • Once approved, the change is officially registered
  • You receive confirmation as soon as the update is completed

Hoop keeps you informed throughout the process.

To change a company with Hoop, it’s necessary to have a qualified electronic signature (QES). Please note that obtaining a QES is not possible for residents outside Switzerland and the EU, as they are not authorised to sign in accordance with eIDAS or ZertES regulations. Due to these certificate issuing requirements, this option is unfortunately unavailable to those residents.

To make changes to a company with Hoop you must meet the requirements for signing with a qualified electronic signature (QES), which include digital identification (made possible through our DeepID service). To verify your identification, you must use an ID document that has an MRZ (machine readable zone) and your signature must be visible on the document page.

Here is a list of accepted documents.
